Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 26 October 2026
DiffWeb Tech operates DiffWeb (website and Android app). We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). DiffWeb is for adults only: you must be 18 or older to use it.
What is not allowed
Anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child is banned everywhere on DiffWeb: temporary rooms, Saved Rooms, Anonymous Chat and Private Circles. This includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images and links to such material.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes, or asking a minor to keep a relationship secret.
- Sextortion: threatening to share sexual images of someone, or asking a minor for sexual images.
- Sexualised talk with or about minors, and any content that promotes child trafficking.
- Using DiffWeb if you are under 18.
How we prevent it
- Adults only. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older before creating a room, joining a room, creating an account or starting Anonymous Chat. Our Android app is restricted to adults on Google Play.
- No public profiles or search. People can't browse or search for users. Profiles are only visible to people who share a circle.
- Consent first in Anonymous Chat. Both people must accept before a chat opens. Photos are off until both allow them, and links and phone numbers are blocked for the first 2 minutes.
- Automatic pauses. If several people block or report the same person in a short time, that account is paused from Anonymous Chat.
- Photos are re-encoded when uploaded, which strips hidden data such as location.
How to report
- In the app: in any chat open the menu (⋯) and tap Report a problem, choosing Child safety. In Anonymous Chat tap Report and choose Seems under 18. In a circle, use Report post on any post.
- On the web: use our contact form and pick Child safety. No account is needed.
- By email: abuse@diffweb.com
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first. In India dial 112 or Childline 1098.
Child safety reports are highlighted in our moderation tools so we can act on them first. Reported chats are kept and not auto-deleted while a report is open.
What we do
- Remove the content, close the room or circle, and ban the accounts and networks involved.
- Keep the evidence under a legal hold so it is not auto-deleted while authorities need it.
- Report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the authorities as required by law, including the police and India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org) where it applies.
- Cooperate with law enforcement requests made through proper legal process. Law enforcement can reach us through the contact form (topic Legal / law enforcement).
